Today we are celebrating our 400th adoption since LMR was founded on November 24, 2007. The Idaho Ratatoes Russet, Redsen and Ranger were the lucky little ratties that were adopted today.

It is of course very bittersweet - One one hand we are so extremely blessed to have found wonderful forever homes for 400 animals, on the other hand it's so sad that there are so many homeless animals out there. And the numbers that we take in are just the tip of the iceberg, the lucky ones that get a second chance. Every week we have to turn down many more because we simply don't have enough foster homes for all of them.

In other news - Cinderella gave birth to little eepers earlier today! There were 13 babies but unfortunately one of them passed away. The remaining 12 are doing great and have nice milk bands!

Please keep your fingers crossed that all the babies make it! We will list them individually on Petfinder once they are a bit older.
