Teri the wonderful foster mom reports that the mom and babies are doing well despite the stressful move.

As me mentioned previously, they are related to the 55 we took in last year.

The mom was given away to a friend by the previous owner. We knew he was doing this and we knew he didn't have the knowledge how to properly screen homes. This little momma rattie was then brought to the local shelter vet because the man thought she had a broken leg. The leg is fine but she ended up giving birth while at the vet and the man surrendered her and all babies.

It really saddens us greatly that despite our efforts to clean up the mess, there are still new litters being born and once again we have to try and find homes for another 12 unwanted rats.
